In early 1960's local Cypress citizens created a toboggan hill for those to savor. After a short while the Cypress Snowboarders Association installed a rope tow and started skiing lower an all natural gladed trail. It was the start of the Mile High Ski Hill. In 1967 the association moved for an area with near to 700 vertical foot. and installed a T-Bar with several runs. Part of the initial development group, Leonard McGee ongoing to build up and operate the Mile High Ski Hill. Mr. McGee would forever be referred to as "Mountain Guy".

Almost 30 Years Ago Dork Fischer required within the operation and planning the region. The Mile High Ski Hill named due to its elevation of 4594 foot. / 1400 m. was re-named Hidden Valley. The Alberta Government later committed to the Cypress Hillsides Park and Hidden Valley's Future. The renovation of Hidden Valley incorporated a Quad Chair, Two Handle Tow's, a complete service Daylodge, Snowmaking System, run development and re-contouring from the entire base area. Hidden Valley was run by the Fischer Family until April of 2015 after which Alberta Parks started again its operation.

Today you are able to because of its consistent snow conditions, great facilities and friendly people. The paths are diverse, offering gentle slopes for novices, cruising terrain for intermediates and much more challenging runs for experts. The all-terrain park waits to challenge all amounts of experienced snowboarders and snowboarders, as the Small-Park provides a less aggressive position for our riders and slider mobile phones to ride the paint rollers striking the jumps. To increase the wintertime adventure, you may enjoy the outside speeding lower the Snow Luge, or gliding around the Skating Trail, riding around the Body fat Biking Trails, or looking within the planetarium, and snow a lot more!
